Knowing when to replace your AC system can be a difficult decision, but there are several signs to look out for that indicate it may be time to replace your AC system. Here are some common signs that your AC needs to be replaced:
- Age: The average lifespan of an AC system is about 10-15 years. If your AC system is over 10 years old, it may be time to consider replacing it, even if it is still functioning.
- Frequent breakdowns: If your AC system is breaking down frequently and requiring costly repairs, it may be more cost-effective to replace the system rather than continue to repair it.
- Rising energy bills: If your energy bills are increasing even though your usage hasn't changed, it could be a sign that your AC system is becoming less efficient and may need to be replaced.
- Uneven cooling: If some rooms in your home are significantly warmer than others, it may be a sign that your AC system is struggling to distribute cool air evenly and may need to be replaced.
- Strange noises: If your AC system is making unusual or loud noises, such as banging or rattling, it could be a sign of a serious problem that may require a replacement.
- Refrigerant leaks: If your AC system is low on refrigerant or has a refrigerant leak, it may be a sign that your AC system needs to be replaced. Low refrigerant levels can cause your AC system to stop working or work inefficiently.
If you are experiencing any of these signs, it is recommended to consult with a licensed HVAC professional to assess the condition of your AC system and determine whether it needs to be replaced.

Went out to repair a customer's water heater that was leaking water. After inspecting the system, I found that the drain valve was leaking, which was causing the water heater to lose pressure. I replaced the drain valve to resolve the problem for the customer. The water heater is no longer leaking and is working properly for the home again.

Arrived at a home to perform fall maintenance on a customer's furnace. Upon my arrival, I checked the unit, carefully inspecting each component for any signs of wear and tear. I also cleaned the area around the unit and replaced the filters. The system is in great shape and should give the home no trouble this winter.

Went out to repair a customer's water heater. They had called us because their water heater's emergency valve was leaking. We came out immediately, and found that the pressure release valve was not working properly. We quickly and carefully installed a new pressure relief valve.
